The Dr. Sandra J. Finley Teacher Scholar Certificate is awarded for teaching a minimum of three semesters at Illinois and achieving a significant level of quality in your teaching; developing and evaluating an original work for use in teaching; exploring literature on teaching; engaging in a minimum of five hours of discipline-based service; and writing a teaching philosophy statement.
